Welcome to our Horsham bottles website!
With a population today of over 50,000 it's hard to believe that Horsham was once a small market town serving the many small farms in the area. Horsham prospered during the Victorian era and early 20th century and remained a prominent brewery town until 2000, when the famous King and Barnes brewery was closed on merger with Hall & Woodhouse. Although it and other Horsham breweries and mineral water companies have now sadly gone, there are many old bottles from Horsham still in existence which we have been collecting for several years by visiting flea markets, car boot sales and bottle fairs. Some of the bottles in our collection also came from the River Arun near the site of the Haiarn Dwr Mineral Water Company in Worthing Road while others were dug up in Horsham Park back in the 1970s.
This website shows some of the more interesting bottles in our collection together with information about the different Horsham breweries and mineral water companies.
